Exit Strategy

Scottish Athletics have released their exit strategy with section for clubs, coaches and athletes to follow. The club's committee will meet very soon to consider this and advise on how we can work together towards the new normal. In the meantime can all members please take sometime to read these so they know what to expect and what steps they need to take themselves when training resumes. Exit Stategy

FVH Virtual Road Events

Due to the ongoing situation the road races proposed in the article last month obviously can't take place as we wished. However we are happy to say we have worked hard behind the scenes and now have permits for two Virtual Club Races for FVH members only, these will be counting events in the clubs roads championships.

Club Cross Country Championships

The results for the 2019/20 Club Cross Country Championships are available to view on the link below, with the top three in each age group identified. If you have any queries on these please contact the club by May 8th. The trophies and medals will be presented at our Annual Awards Night later in the year. The cross country season did see a rise in numbers competing which is great to see and was reflected with success in the leagues, along with excellent performances in District and National competition.

Club Updates

Competitions have been hit very hard by this shut down, the clubs road race Championships have had several races moved dates and some others under review   We have two bespoke club races planned (although these are subject to guidelines) we ask that all those members interested in taking part enter just now, then we are ready when given the go ahead  please  for the latest dates in the roads series and Just click on the link within the document to enter the clubs races.

Club Impact 4 - membership renewals

To ensure the club continues to function the committee are holding their meetings via Skype and they have discussed various options for collecting the remaining membership renewals. It is vital that we get these up to date to ensure all are able to get back to training and competing promptly when this passes.  Obviously this will now have to be electronically and we have devised a payment by installment option as well for any struggling financially. Additionally the renewal deadline has been extended to April 30th

Club Impact 3 - Helping each other, the club & the wider community

Supporting each other is going to be vital in the weeks ahead and many will also want to support the wider community as well. It is very important that if you answer any call for help that you  follow all the guidelines and consider the impact it may have on yourself.

Helping fellow members: If any members need help please send a message to our facebook team or email the club with what you need and we will try and get that help to you from other members.
