Falkirk Victoria Harriers caters for runners and athletes of all ages and abilities. We are a competing club, participating in various competitions and athletics leagues around Scotland throughout the year, including track & field, road running and cross-country.

Training groups are based mainly in the Falkirk district although we have members throughout the country. New members are always welcome - click here for details.

National Champs Update

England Athletics National Championships: Lewis Pentecost and Olivia Varielle were competing in English Champs. Olivia came 4th and a new PB. Lewis got bronze and a new PB

Scotstoun Stadium was the venue for the Scottish Athletics National U13, U15 & U20. Championships with around one thousand athletes from all over the UK attending. The large entry list creating very tough progression criteria for the athletes, but exciting viewing for the spectators. Saturday was indeed additionally hard for the athletes with strong winds and heavy downpours, thankfully things were much better for Sunday’s competitors.

U20’s: Olivia Varielle stepped up an age group and claimed a double Gold in the 400m & 800m. She took the 400m with a typical dominating performance. In the 800m final she was boxed with 200m to go but managed to get out and produced a kick that took her away from the field, although they did close her down as the line approached, she held them off.

Lewis Pentecost also stepped up an age group to contest the 2000m Steeplechase and produced a measured race to take the Silver medal in 6:17.15

Selina Henderson took the 200m Bronze(25.24s) in a very strong field which included GB Internationalists. Anna Leishman was 9th in the Triple Jump and 6th in her 200m heat Meanwhile Kirsty Snaddon was 13th in the Triple Jump with Abbi Gifford 8th in the Discus...
