Competitions have been hit very hard by this shut down, the clubs road race Championships have had several races moved dates and some others under review We have two bespoke club races planned (although these are subject to guidelines) we ask that all those members interested in taking part enter just now, then we are ready when given the go ahead please for the latest dates in the roads series and Just click on the link within the document to enter the clubs races. Update 5/5/20 - these race can't go ahead as planned but we are switching them to virtual races instead. When we have the details we will email to our members and update the website.
Over on the Track and Field most leagues have been canceled for this season with most Championship events rescheduled, again we are trying to keep pace and updating the website. On a more positive note the Clubs T&F Championships has been set for Aug 30th
Self Training: Please see an earlier posting on this topic for some useful advice. There is also a training plan here that may benefit our younger members and burn off some of their excess energy! There are links at the bottom of the plan to some basic 5 in 5 exercises, a 6 minute conditioning drill and a 20 minute workout so there should be plenty to keep you going.
Mental Health and Food & Nutrition As well as keeping physically fit we need to keep our minds in shape and eat properly as well. Sport Scotland have this new article on Wellbeing and another on Nutrition . The Scottish Association for Mental Health have published this which some may find useful.
